Randy and I had a great conversation with your mother yesterday, and we are excited to learn that you are considering Camp Jeanne d’Arc for camp this summer. I think that’s fantastic, and I wanted to take a moment to share why Camp Jeanne d’Arc is a truly magical place and why I think it would be especially amazing for you!
CJDA is more than just a camp; it’s a warm, welcoming family where every camper is embraced for who they are. We understand that starting something new, especially when you’re shy or a bit nervous to leave home, can be overwhelming. But I want you to know that our camp is a special haven, unlike anything else in the world. You’ll find more than just friends; you’ll find kindred spirits who understand and appreciate you for exactly who you are. Our environment is incredibly supportive, and our campers and staff are like one big family. Friendships here run deep, and the bonds you’ll form will last a lifetime.
Your mom mentioned that your health requires you to stick to a fairly strict diet. That is no problem for us. We have many campers who have various dietary needs. Our medical team will support you in every possible way. Our head nurse is like a really sweet grandmother to all the campers and staff. We want you to focus on the fun, the laughter, and the adventures, while we take care of the rest. We’ll do everything we can to help you feel comfortable and well.
One of our campers’ favorite times at Camp is campfire. It’s a feeling that is hard to describe. It’s the feeling of being accepted, loved, and supported exactly as you are. It’s the feeling of growing, not just in skills and knowledge, but in confidence and self-assurance. It’s the feeling of discovering a part of yourself you never knew existed, surrounded by people who celebrate you every step of the way. It’s a very unique bond that is fast and true.
