At the Abbott home, every Friday is Cookie Friday!
Anybody with school aged children knows that school is tough stuff! It’s early mornings, late nights, school projects, friend drama and so much more. I wanted to give my kids something to look forward to at the end of a busy and stressful week. Nothing is better than homemade chocolate chip cookies! So, I started a tradition and it stuck! Chocolate chip cookies every Friday! Now, my 12 year old son is the one who has taken over the tradition. Some weeks his cookies are even better than mine!

Sandy Abbott’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe (Randy’s very favorite)
Cream together wet ingredients (I just use a good, old fashioned wooden spoon)
1/2 c. (1 cube) real unsalted butter
¼ c. butter flavored Crisco
1 ¼ c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp milk
1 tsp. vanilla
In separate bowl, combine dry ingredients
1 ¾- 2 c. flour
¾ tsp salt
¾ tsp baking soda
Combine wet and dry ingredients. Stir until incorporated. Add ¾ bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes. Enjoy!
