Youth Leadership Ambassador Club

The Camp Jeanne d’Arc Youth Ambassador Club is a group of committed and responsible leaders, ages 12-17, who actively champion Camp Jeanne d’Arc’s mission of fostering faith, endurance, courage, and confidence. These ambassadors dedicate themselves to serving the Camp Jeanne d’Arc community, as well as the broader community, ensuring the spirit of Camp Jeanne d’Arc thrives year-round, in communities around the world.

Becoming a Leader Starts Here

The Camp Jeanne d’Arc Youth Ambassadors will engage with various initiatives to foster leadership, collaboration, and project development. They will have the following responsibilities:

    • Collaboration: Participate in monthly virtual meetings to brainstorm, plan, and execute impactful programs, projects, and initiatives that may benefit the camp community and/or communities throughout the world.
    • Leadership: Present ideas, contribute to discussions, and advocate for initiatives while being open to listening and learning from peers.
    • Time Commitment: Dedicate 10-20 hours each month to leadership study, collaboration, and service project efforts. The time commitment to the Youth Ambassador Leadership Club (YALC) will vary seasonally, and will temporarily disband in the summer months. Club members should be willing to contribute 10 to 20 hours per month.
    • Community Engagement: Build partnerships by reaching out to local organizations and individuals in your community to collaborate to solve problems in your community.
    • Follow-Through: Take ownership of tasks and ensure successful completion of responsibilities.
    • Represent Camp Jeanne d’Arc: Be a proud representative of Camp Jeanne d’Arc in the camp community as well as your local community.

Who Can Be a Youth Ambassador?

The great thing about this club is that these teens do not have to have experience in leadership development.  They don’t have to be in the school’s student council or the captain of their sports team.  They just need to have dedication and the desire to make an impact.

Youth Ambassadors have:

  • Strong dedication to the mission and values of Camp Jeanne d’Arc
  • Passion for giving back and serving others
  • Reliability and the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Confidence in presenting ideas and engaging with others
  • Willingness to grow, lead, and make a lasting impact

What Can Youth Ambassadors Expect?

By joining the Youth Ambassador Leadership Club, members can expect to enhance their leadership skills and gain hands-on leadership experience.  Youth Ambassadors will participate in service focused projects that will benefit camp and their own communities. You will leave a legacy of service, collaboration, and dedication that will inspire future generations of campers.

Youth Ambassadors qualify to earn a special symbol on their shield, awarded for consistent and dedicated participation in the club.
