Going Green!

Good morning sunshine, or should I say good morning icy breeze : )

Although today started off on a rather sad note (with counselor Kate leaving), it was certain to be a splendid day, and it was! Breakfast included the surprise of the smugglers announcements. As per usual, a hearty breakfast was served; delicious banana bread with a fully stocked breakfast bar.
Morning activities comprised of reading, blanket making, cricket/tether ball as well as walk to the bridge. For lunch we were rewarded some yummy comfort food. We ate pasta, sauce, french bread and salad bar.
Our afternoon was spent doing service projects. Today we decided to “Go Green!” at camp. We created recycle bins for our cabins, picked up trash around camp, and did a gardening project. We also continued tying blankets for a local charity for single mothers. We have completed almost 18 blankets to donate to a local charity here in Malone. The girls here really love giving back.
After service projects and shower hour, it was Inspirational Hour. The girls choose to go to either mass, inspiration or Bible stories. There was a very special mass today as yesterday was the Feast of Our Lady of the Snows. We celebrated today. It was a lovely.
Dinner was the Sunday special, family style BBQ with burgers, hot dogs, watermelon and chips with sundaes on Sunday for dessert!
What a great way to end off another great week!
Love, Chanelle
